THE EVOLUTION OF A SONG (PART 2): ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING TO EXCESS

So, we had a song.   My buddy went back to his home studio (yes, he has game) and took our little song and added instrumentation, drums to hold the beat, new vocals, bridges between the verses and even a tambourine – who doesn’t love a tambourine?

Then it started to roll.  We launched an Instagram site with just a few pictures from places our friends and family had been with sunsets, mountains, lakes and oceans while drinking coffee, cocktails, beer and wine.  As we celebrated a world opening up, photographers and followers started sharing their Sit Here, Look There, Drink This pictures from across the country and around the globe, including Belgium, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland and Thailand.

Next, we found a designer and created logos, pictures and drawings for some T-Shirts at our online store.  And now, we’ve turned our song into a Music Video with some of those same pictures.

​When we wrote the song, we said we’d keep doing this “as long as it was fun.”  So far, it’s only gotten better and better.  As we take an Old Saying and Turn it Into a New Song, here’s to you and others joining us for the journey… and if you run into Jimmy Buffet and Darius Rucker ask them if they’re looking for a new song.
